「イスいす」
11月に行われたTOKYO デザイナーズウィークでも大勢の皆様から共感を得た松原美恵氏によるプロダクト「イスいす」が今、日本のデザインシーンを代表し、海外の桧舞台に立っています。
傑出した木才ぶりでグエナエル・ニコラ氏や二代目ヤコブセン氏をはじめとし、世界の目利き達を納得させたプロダクトは
「Origami-screen」然り。
「Por-out-chair」然り....
「イスいす」の海外出展は日本語を理解しない海外の方々からの強いオファーにより実現したのもです。
奇遇にも今回のテーマでもあるTransliterationの意味に思い合わさっていますね。

グルッと回って、「イ」「ス」と目に留まるこのギミックさ。
腑に落ちどころが腰のおろしどころだったりするんです。
松原氏は可変物体：見る角度や動きによって異なる様相をもつ変化をテーマとした家具の提案をされています。
Young & energetic Architect:Miss Matsubara proposes Changeable object exhibit.
The theme is Change - these are proposals for furniture that gives a different look depending on which angle it is seen from and how it is moved.
"I-SU chair" is a chair by the name of "Chair"("I"-"SU" in Japanese katakana).
This chair is formed by the trajectories of the character of Japanese katakana.
"I" transforming into "SU" and vice versa.
